Biography, Interests, Personal Background & Activities
Her motivations are art and philanthropy, which resulted in her studying arts and literature in Italy, the country where she was born. Caring for other people is something Monika Bacardi really loves to do, so it is not surprising that she participates in many non-profit organisations and charities. The AMBI group, a cinematographic company based in Europe, was set up by her in 2013 due to her love of film.
The Passions of Monika Bacardi: Art and 7th Art
"The Seventh Art" (Cinema) is one of her loves. This, along with wanting to motivate young filmmakers, is one of the justifications for her having created AMBI Pictures. Film is an art form that can offer the opportunity to present varied messages to a wide variety of audiences: this is the strong belief of Monika Bacardi. She is convinced that cinema can change the world. Creating commercial films (and promoting the art) for a worldwide audience is the modus operandi of AMBI Pictures.
Enthusiastic Contributor to Associative, Cinematic and Cultural Movements/Associations
In the year 2005, Monika Bacardi's husband passed away. He had been head of the Bacardi business for four decades. Since that time, Monika has proved to have an extraordinary business acumen. Having founded AMBI Pictures, she and Andrea Iervolino have now released an excellent slate of motion pictures for the global market. She has also become engaged in a large number of beneficent activities, helping many charitable organisations, like "Fondation AVEC", "amfAR" (Making AIDS History Association) and the Monaco Red Cross, whilst also conducting oceanographic research. Monika Bacardi speaks French, German, English, Italian and Spanish and is reckoned to be one of the most influential businesswomen in the Arts sector today.
